COVID-19 Protection Plan for ALMA Members Now Available
Mar 22, 2021 - The American Equity Underwriters, Inc.

On January 21, 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order 13999 - Protecting Worker Health and Safety, which focuses on ensuring all employers are providing a safe work environment for their employees and guests.

Since the signing of the executive order, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has provided additional guidelines and directives to ensure employers have a plan in place or a “playbook” on how their employees and guests will be protected from the risk of COVID-19.

In response to the executive order directives, we at The American Equity Underwriters (AEU) have created a sample COVID-19 Protection Plan (CPP) which includes a COVID-19 training presentation in both English and Spanish, an employee apprehension quiz, a facility inspection process, and printable posters. These materials are available exclusively to members of the American Longshore Mutual Association (ALMA).

ALMA members may access the CPP on the ALMA member resource website (login required). If you're an ALMA member and do not have login credentials, please register here.

AEU continues to provide safety resources to our members for the protection of their employees and compliance with regulatory standards. If you are interested in a written plan, please contact your Loss Control Manager.
