If you want to keep employees safe and claims costs low, it's critical to stay educated. That's why AEU focuses on keeping our members and brokers informed on the latest trends in safety, claims, leadership, staffing, and more.

We offer a variety of different educational opportunities for ALMA members and brokers.
- AEU National and Regional Forums. Hear from industry experts and peers about field-tested methods, emerging trends, and solutions to common safety, claims, and leadership issues. These events are typically held in cities where we have a high concentration of members.
- Virtual safety meetings. Specific to the shipbuilding and stevedoring industries, these virtual events facilitate dialogue between ALMA members and AEU loss control managers about best practices, challenges, and workplace health and safety trends.
- Continuing education for insurance professionals. We offer virtual CE classes covering USL&H and MEL (maritime employers’ liability), allowing insurance professionals to earn up to eight hours of CE credit.
