AEU has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama YMCA in their school-based program that was started in the fall of 2008. This program enables employees to make a difference in the community by providing one to one school-based mentoring to local at-risk youth. AEU employees are matched with "Littles" from Pillans Middle School and Gilliard Elementary School. AEU has committed to make BBBS their community service outreach of choice by giving not only money and time but promoting the corporate partnership philosophy in the community.
